Wolf's Lair and WWII Bunkers Private Tour from Warsaw

Explore the Wolf's Lair, Hitler’s primary WWII military headquarters, located in Poland’s Masurian forest. This private tour suits history enthusiasts interested in detailed Eastern Front insights.

Description

The Wolf's Lair was built in 1941 and camouflaged to be invisible from the air. Spanning over 250 hectares, it housed more than 2,000 people at its peak. The complex was destroyed by retreating German forces in January 1945, but the ruins of over 80 bunkers remain, some with walls up to 8 metres thick.

Start your day with a private vehicle transfer from Warsaw, taking approximately three hours to reach the site. Upon arrival, a 5-star Licensed Guide will lead a 3-hour tour through the ruins, explaining how the complex operated, who lived there, and key decisions made within its walls. The guide also covers the 20 July 1944 assassination attempt on Hitler and its aftermath.

After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore the forest trails independently before returning to Warsaw.

Choose the 12-hour option to continue to the Mamerki Bunkers, the former Supreme Command headquarters of the German Land Forces. This site includes a large network of shelters, officers' quarters, and wartime exhibitions for self-guided exploration. On the return trip, your route stops at the Baroque Sanctuary of Święta Lipka, known for its richly decorated basilica and unique organ with moving figurines.
